Dr Iftikhar Ahmad
Executive Director
Dr. Iftikhar Ahmed – Executive Director, EPO
Dr. Iftikhar Ahmed, D.Sc., Ph.D. (France), MRSC (UK), is an internationally recognized environmental and public health expert, educator, and policy advisor. Currently serving as Executive Director of the Environmental Protection Organization (EPO) and Faculty in Environmental & Public Health at Abu Dhabi University, he has dedicated over two decades to advancing environmental sustainability, clean water technologies, renewable energy, and public health systems.
Dr. Ahmed holds distinguished academic credentials, including a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Chemical & Environmental Engineering from MIT (USA) / Masdar Institute (UAE), a Ph.D. in Nano-Chemistry from the University of Paris (France, Distinction), and multiple advanced qualifications in environmental health, project management, and policy from prestigious institutions such as the University of Oxford (UK).
His expertise spans environmental health & safety, occupational health, nanotechnology, renewable energy systems, wastewater recycling, environmental law, and sustainable project management. Dr. Ahmed has held leadership, teaching, and research positions at globally renowned institutions, including Arizona State University (USA), Khalifa University – Masdar Institute (UAE), COMSATS University (Pakistan), and University of Paris (France).
A prolific researcher and advisor, he has collaborated with UNEP, UNIDO, WWF, Elsevier, Oxford and Cambridge boards, and served as Country Advisor to the United Nations Environment Programme. His work has influenced environmental policy, advanced conservation technologies, and supported sustainable development initiatives in multiple countries.
In recognition of his contributions, Dr. Ahmed has received numerous honors, including the President’s Award from the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan. He is also an ISO 45001 Lead Auditor (EHS) and a Member of the Chartered Quality Institute (UK).
Dr. Iftikhar Ahmed is a sought-after international speaker, appearing on national and global media platforms to advocate for environmental protection, climate action, and sustainable community development. His mission is to bridge scientific innovation with policy and practice, ensuring a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable future for all.

Sidra Habib known as Ashmal is a dedicated and experienced professional social activist with 13 years of expertise in community engagement, humanitarian affairs, and advocating for marginalized communities. Her work focuses on promoting the rights and empowerment of key populations, including MSM, FSW, PWID, and Transgender individuals. With experience in projects eliminating child labor, promoting child rights, and empowering women's roles in civil society, Ashmal drives positive change and promotes a culture of inclusivity and respect. Currently associated with the Ministry of Human Rights, Ashmal continues to advocate for the rights of marginalized communities, ensuring their voices are heard and valued
